I think I can get one for really cheap with very low miles but its not as high of a stall as I would like to go but do you think it would hold me over til I can pay some bills off and afford a bigger stall? Im thinking that a little stall is better than stock stall. What do you guys think?

DIY, Its probably going to be close to 2 or 3 months before I can get the big one, thats why I wanted to go with this one. Its not going to be a big deal dropping the tranny and switching it when I finally get it but we will just have to see. It looks like the guy has a buyer for the tranny and verter.

what is your stock stall, and are you still wanting a daily driver

Be patient- it's always cheaper, and often more rewarding!

Save up, it'll let you get the better one sooner since you're not blowing a chunk of the money on an inferior one.

Well, the guy already swapped out the cam for a cam in between Marks old cam, the 305 and his cam, the 306. As for the verter, the guy sold the transmission and the verter went with it so Ill be running the 305 with stock stall for the time being. I guess its for the best, I dont have any tires for it right now anyways.

only Bo would spend money to go a little faster just for a few months knowing full well he was going to just go and upgrade that part anyways.

No, I'm doin the same thing... Spending all sorts of money on my TBI crap when I am more than likely gonna get a carbureted motor or one with SFI in about 4 to 5 months. But I may stick with the TBI and just get a holley 670cfm one if i get the carbureted motor.

Cant a guy just do a burnout without his truck feeling like isnt gonna shake itself apart!?!

on the vortec....i might have a lead for ya, but no electronics i think(block and internals)

cal tracs are another option. a guy i know in titusville built a couple 408ci nitrous/blown rams/daks and a few used lakewoods. he also used cal tracs too. most of them were lowered w/ hotchkis stuff too.

Hey, Let me know about that motor... thats all i really want is an incomplete Vortec. I'd really like heads too, but if not I can snag those off Ebay pretty cheap (or save up and get some aluminum heads). My only problem is that I dont think I'll be able to get it until after the first of the year, unless its extra cheap.
