Been doing a ride along wih BSO for a few weeks. Well yesterday we went to a grand theift auto call. There was a perimeter set-up to find the guy. We IDed a few people and were in the process of handcuffing one, when he broke away from the detaining officer and ran. A few of us pursued after him. We were about 15-20 ft away the whole chase, when the suspect decided to scale a 6ft wood fench. We were still a ways behind him when an officer pulled out his taser and NAILED the guy. The suspect had one leg over the fence but as soon as he got tased, that sumbitch just fell over like a rock. He was squirming for a minute or two afterwards but was ok. Man that was some funny shit http://members.cox.net/corvettejake/emoticons/0icon_rofl.gif

as a side note, can you have a taser in florida??? I know in Rhode Island, where I grew up, it is illegal and using one on someone is 1 year in jail or a 500 dollar fine...

just curious... thought about it after I posted...

No, it's considered a concealed weapon (if it's on you) Get a concealed weapons permit
