Hey everyone, got a Ford, dont ask how, Thunderbird with a dead 4.6 in.... seems it was driven without oil and the bottom end of the motor is shot... any idea on where to get a stock replacement motor cheap, or any of you have one around, or thoughts on what to do with it? otherwise car is in good shape... figured it would make a good second car...

I have a 4.6 longblock you can have for $200 picked up in Newberry.

You aren't gonna beat Vortech's deal, but if for some reason that falls through pick and pull has them for about the same price...but ya gotta pull it. Every time I got there for an engine-bay part I look under the hoods of possible compatible cars...only to swear louder and louder as every one of 'em has a 4.6...

It is a complete motor, it just has a broken intake, valve cover, and some other plastic stuff. It is also a PI motor, which is better than what came in the T'bird (assuming it is older than '99). The PI headswap alone is worth a bit more than what I am asking for the whole motor.

sounds great... I appreciate it, let me find a place to put it to do the swap...
