so today i walk into my bathroom in my house and notice a small pile of stuff on the floor behind the door. upon closer inspection it is a small pile of dust and BABY FUCKING TERMITES!

couple questions, i just bought my house and had a WDO inspection done in july right before i bought it. the WDO inspection came back clear, which obviously was incorrect. are there usually guarantees or liabilities that can result from an improper WDO inspection.

also has anyone here had their house tented, if so do you recommend someone.

this is just fucking great

thanks in advance

Let me talk to Joe Parker over at Entomology and see which pest control company isn't on thier shit list right now. Also get me some pictures of them, Joe loves to look at that shit.

I believe most mortgage companies require a termite bond. It's usually tied up in the closing costs, so hopefully Ryan has one.

Ryan, this might mean that you have a leak somewhere that's causing wet wood, so look into that as well. I hope you get it sorted without too much of an expense or headache.

I had some termites in my laundry room a few years ago and I called Capelouto and they took care of it. I have not seen any since.

Had some in the garage, they come out and check the walls and shit for any evidence of them anywhere else, drill into the ground around the house and put the poison down. Haven't had any problems since, they come out once a year.

I hate Capalutos. They are a scam. I use to have them come every 3 months. Well my neighbor said all they where doing is putting on the door tag and leaving so i parked in his yard on the next visit and sure enough they put on the door tag and do nothing and when i called to complain they where like oh well. And they still charged me for that crap.

blech.... I think all lenders require the WDO along with a bond. So, you should be covered. I would look through the paperwork on the WDO and see if you can find who bonded the house then contact them.

Beyond that, I've never had to have any removed or killed, so I'm not much help :-/

If you went through a realtor you should read over the sellers property disclosure. If it was filled out honestly, they should tell you if they had previous treatment, who they used, and if there was a bond purchased. You can also look around in the garage or in a cabinet and the company is suppose to leave a sticker when they last treated.
