the pictures of the fuel injectors are trying to show cracks in the orange faces of the injector. two of them turned out like that and i've never pulled this motor apart this far. so will those injectors be a problem, also notice the clutch and pressure plate and the groove from hell. oh yeah the motor is coming completely out for a rebuild.

sorry dude i was just playing around because after starting this project and realizing exactly how much shit was involved just to disconnect the motor from the car. i'm not meaning to disconnect the motor from from tranny and motor mounts, it's all the electrical connections, a/c, power steering etc. the harness is attached to the motor in a billon places and the engine bay is just cramped to start.

i wouldn't really worry about the pintle caps on the injectors unless the crack goes all the way around past the o-ring.... if you are real anal about it call Aaron Scott up at South GA Corvettes in Thomasville and see if he has any you can purchase from him..... i've taken some injectors to him to be cleaned and he put on new pintle caps for me......

You use to be able to buy the pintle caps at Advance Auto Parts.

Why are you rebuilding the engine?

Why are you rebuilding the engine?

131K miles, 125 dry shot, rebuild has forged pistons, new bigger cam, solid motor/tranny mount , clutch has seen better days, and overall curiosity to see actually how motor looks inside, plus it was one of those days you just wake up and do crazy shit

i'm working swingshift all this week but i plan on finishing the motor pull tomorrow morning before going to work. I plan on having wild cat do the machine work, and then i'll rebuild it at the house in the car port:secret:

Was there any marks on the bottom side of the head on that cylinder? I didn't see a pic of that. Make sure you get a valve job and if you are going to continue to use NO2 get good exhaust valves. Looking good Later Bam

Crane Cams is the standard GT-40 valve train. Ford just outsourced to them.

Yep. All 93 and later 302 Cobra motors had them.
