i'm already getting the Nitto 315 DR's for the rear, but i don't know which kind i should get for the front. I'm going with a 275-40R17 size tire. Which kind do you all think are pretty decent, but at the same time not too expensive.

Honestly, I like running 255/40's up front, I like them better than the 275's. They are a lil cheaper too. I would look at the Nitto 555's, I have heard nothing but good things about them.

How wide are your front wheels? I've been running 275/40's up front for a long time and I have no complaints. DO NOT GET KUMHO 712's. MX's are good, so are Nitto 555's, etc.

i looked at those eagle f1's, they cost more than the drag radials. i think i might get these Visa brand tires. they have the size i want and are $115 shipped a tire.

David, if you want to hold off for a few days, you might be able to get a good deal on some Kumhos.

Right now I have 712s on both front and rear. I've been running them up front for a long time with no problem, they just SUCK for rear tires. John at Discount Tire knows I'm unhappy with them and is going to let me return them or something... and I'm sure they can't sell them for the same price, so you could probably get a nice deal. I think I paid $290 for both after tax including mounting and lifetime balancing, rotation, and everything else, I doubt you'd pay anywhere near that.

Yokahama AVS ES100. I had them on my 18s and JD has them on his 17s. Not too exspensive and they have decent traction. Even in wet conditions.

Even with the stock suspension geometry, these tires are able to stick pretty well. Me likey.:D

they suck up front also, I slide everywhere, of course I drive crazier then most, but they are the worst all around driving / performance tire I ever had on my car, I cant wait to get new ones... 555 nittos all around... on Stephanie's car they stick great on cornering and stuff...

in case Stephanie reads this, I would not really know how her car slides or corners, I drive it very slowly and nicely...

After the longtubes/k install and fighting with the midpipe 17 times, I can barely even grab a wrench. I'll supervise, my arms need a rest.

I've had them on for almost 10,000 miles and I have no complaints. Of course, I don't drive like an asshole either... car is set up to go fast in a straight line.
