I get GOD AWFUL wheelhop in my truck. I believe that this is due to the extra soft shocks i got when the shop did my flip kit and C-notch, and the flip kit itself. I am definitely going to get some new shocks, but I am not sure what kinda i want yet. I've been looking at doesch tech and tokico's. I was also considering some traction bars, but again i don't know what kinda i should get. I've seen both the slapper bars and bars that connect to the frame and then to the leaf springs and act a little like a 4 link...
any suggestions?

i got crap shocks right now... i believe they are OEM or just really cheap ones that she shop got. They were only like $30 over the cost of the C-notch and Flip kit, and they just threw them in with it and didnt charge me cause they said it wasnt a good idea to roll around on the stock shocks with the 6 inches of drop. I saw a mustang yesterday (like a 66) with some lakewood traction bars. Thats what got me to thinkin about it. I'll check on em.
Any suggestion on the shocks... I looked at Koni's, and they'd be cool and all, but they are a LOT of money. I dont really care about ride too much... i wouldnt have dropped it all that much if I did, I just want somethin that will help my launches. Thats another thing, my shocks squat a whole lot too, which is also no good.
Ideally i'd like a drag 4 link with koni coilovers... but then people in hell want icewater!

i had the doesch tech shocks for a while and they were pretty good. belltech makes some good drop shocks. so does blisten. blisten shocks come on all the s10s with the zq8 and extreme packages. i have monroes on the back of mine right now. i just had to measure the extended and compressed lenghts. i'm running nissan hardbody shocks on the front of mine. i'm not into those really expensive shocks.

Don't use standard drop shock to control your wheelhop. Competition engineering offers their 3-way adjustable shocks in different lengths for your type application. All you need to do is measure from eye to eye on your shocks when the truck is down. Just putting on slapper bars will not plant your tires or help with the wheel hop.
Any questions feel free to give me a call. I'll be glad to help.
