...and are products are #2. So after putting some gas in the fox, I reach for the outside door handle, gentle pull up in the sweet spot, and SNAP! Guess those were the stock plastic ones after all... sheesh!

When I worked at Super Suds I broke a ladies door handle, the manager came out and super glued it back on and told me not to say anything.

That's horrible! I just spent 40 minutes replacing it - I had the parts and riveter on hand as I knew that eventually they'd snap... first time replacement for me. The passenger door will probably be a lot quicker know that I know wtf I'm doing :)

I hope u didn't replace it with another plastic pos. You can either order metal ones, or find them in the j-yard.

Chev: 357
Dodge: 106
Chrysler: 56
GMC: 69

No way I'd put the same junk on! I got a metal set from 50resto :)

Also, after straightening out a couple rods and wd40ing the hell out of the mechanism from both inside and out, the door handles open the door with no effort :)

Steven ripped my drivers side handle off at the track one time. I got the metal ones and haven't had a problem since.

Yeah but you gotta admit they were already pretty fucked when you got it sometimes I could barely open them.

I never had a single problem with the handle. But no one ever knows to pull UP, they all pull the handle out and ask me to unlock the door.
