for those of you with 99-01 gt's, how satisfied are you with the hp output. im not sure what they dyno at but they are 260hp compared to the 225 of the 96-98 gt's. just tryin to learn a little more about the 99-01s, thanks -Andy

The 96-98's are absolute slugs compared to the 99+. Look at Tony... low 13's with minor bolt-ons. A full bolt-on 96-98 won't come close to that.

I'm happy with mine =P

Im happy with mine too. I cant compare it to a pre 99 GT, because Ive never driven one. I like my 01 alot more than my old 96 V6(obviously). It just seems like they need lower gears.

Stock my 02 laid down ~230 rwhp
After the mods, I'm at 259.8 rwhp.

my girlfriend has a stock 96 and it is a turd...(96-97 215 hp 98 225 hp)...i can say that back in the day when my car was bone stock it would rip her car a new ass. i think it would be lucky to get mid 15s. my ex's bone stock 00 with an auto went 14.2@96 mph completely stock, stock tires everything, leaving it in D. i love the 99+ bodystyle and wouldnt have anything else. :qball:
