Today WCTV came to my work to do some footage of our "Puppys in Prison" program we started about a month or two ago....

We are working in part with the Tallahassee Humane Society to get abandoned dogs ready for adoption. So far we only have 10 dogs. Each dog has 3 Inmates assigned to it. They are teaching them commands..sit,stay,etc...Teaching them "potty training" stuff along those lines. They keep em for a few months, then anyone can adopt them...They go out, and a new batch comes in.

Its a good program so far. It gives Inmates something to be proud of and to stay out of truoble for. And instead of them having Pet Spiders and Lizards in there foot lockers..They now have actual pets!!

Not sure when its gonna air...But it'll be cool to watch! See where ya tax dollars are going!

Sit, stay and potty training. Maybe its a start so when they get out they can hold a job and not end up back in jail. Where do you find dogs willing to train idiot inmates?

Hope the dogs have plenty of astro lube. Sorry couldn't resist, sounds like a worthwhile program, beats making em make license plates and state office furniture.
