so i just pulled a 6000 lb trailer from atlanta to tallahassee on I-75 and I-10 with my Ram, and pulling off of I-10 i start hearing a noise. Now when i turn i hear a thumping/creaking noise coming from the rear axle... any diagnosis? I've never experienced a rear end going out but if i had to guess..... thanks guys :cry:

a friend of mine was hauling a lead sled Lincoln from ALT to Moultrie and his dodge ram sheared off the wheel studs and the wheel passed him on I-75 @ 80mph..... i hope it isn't that..... could be a bad u-joint prolly maybe....

Pinion bearing. Dodges are NOTORIOUS for bad pinion bearings.
