home bored, feel like crap, was wondering if anyone else was bored and home...

setup laptop to remote my pc so I can post whore from bed.... :)

hey greg? how are you doing? leg better yet? football this weekend...

well, i got a racing ticket... got to go to court on the 11th...

see the light on appalachee turned green and I gunned it through 1st, tires spun, then I let off, never actually broke the speed limit, nor was I racing anyone since I was solo, but cop said spinning tires is now a racing on highway ticket and a court date.... spinning tires??? is he serious... I looked up the law, here it is.. the one on the ticekt...

any thoughts, I am fighting it...

316.191 Racing on highways.-- (2)(a) A person may not drive any vehicle, including any motorcycle, in any race; speed competition or contest; drag race or acceleration contest; test of physical endurance; exhibition of speed or acceleration; or for the purpose of making a speed record on any highway, roadway, or parking lot, and a person may not in any manner participate in, coordinate, facilitate, or collect moneys at any location for any such race; ride as a passenger in; or purposefully cause the movement of traffic to slow or stop for, any such race, competition, contest, test, or exhibition. Any person who violates this paragraph commits a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083. Any person who violates this paragraph shall pay a fine of not less than $250 and not more than $500, and the department shall revoke the driver license of a person so convicted for 1 year. A hearing may be requested pursuant to s. 322.271.

the bastard says it was an exhibition of power... which is not listed by the way inthe statute... I told the cop that was a stupid law... he had no comment...

he was reasonable nice considering my poor additute and me racing off thorugh the parking lot afterwards...

called court house... seems I can take theplead for a reasonable 650 dollar fine... fuck them... for spinning tires, next time I will make sure I smoke them up good for that... it was a sad traction chip if anything...

$650.00 fine? Why would you do that when the law says a max fine 0f $500.00?

well you werent racing anyone, and I'm pretty sure your intent was not to make a speed record. You didnt stop traffic for a race, nor did you collect money for such an event.
I would claim that it was wet out and the tires didnt hook, so you gave it a little more gas and they spun. claim you have a heavy clutch and say its sometimes difficult to drive a six speed under such conditions.

Dare I even ask what kind of driving record you have?

They will pull you over in Tally for any damn thing. Fight that shit.

I got a racing on the highway ticket for going a little fast to get past traffic to change lanes. Never got over the speedlimit but a Cherokee tried to keep up with me so I got the racing ticket. It wasn't but like 150 bucks though, if that even.

Gunning it through first gear while spinning the tires could easily be classified as an "exhibition of speed."

Are they offering you the plead with no revocation/suspension of your license or other consequences aside from the fine?

as for my record, I have a couple of speeding tickets on my reocrd at the moment, if they pull a complete history, I have like 8 in the state I think...

no dui's or accidents, and I went to school 3 times... the other tickets were on my out of state licence and were lost when I got the florida licence :)

I was a safe driver for years :)

they didnt mention about suspension of my licence or anything... cops suck...

I was WOT for a sec though, it was a good spin... shit tires, if I had nittos I would have stuck...
