According to 1270 The Team - with confirmation from the Tallahassee Police Department - two FSU football players were arrested at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Friday morning.

An altercation with police took place at a bar on College Ave. in Tallahassee, where junior linebacker Geno Hayes and senior fullback Joe Surratt were arrested.

Rumor has it Geno Hayes got the tazer...

lol! i heard about it this am when i got to work, checked warchant, and they(read: "dot com") kept deleting the threads, lol. all i could think about is Geno hollering out "dont taze me bro!" while surrat was trying to pull the cops off him. i dont think its anything season ending for either, maybe a game or 2.

on another note, Antwan Greenlee(OL) was also kept overnight at TMH for a neck injury(not serious), and X lee is apprently getting more reps with the first team O.

Probably wont matter, FSU has had a lot of trouble makers/idiots on the team in the past, didn't keep them from playing. Sebastian Janikowski did a lot of stupid stuff.

From what I heard, yesterday he couldn't move his arms or legs. Fortunatley, the swelling went down and he regained movement.

That was when the team was good. Losing 6 games a year doesn't get you any sway.

bobby probably doesnt know about it yet, much less spoke to someone to delegate a suspension. They have to wait until the charges are made final, lawyers have talked, ect. FSU has put out an official response spelling that out. Dot Com was deleting threads because there was already one about the subject so he was trying to keep the discussion centralized.

I went to high school with the arresting officer Mike Petroczky, he played football back in the day. He was probably being nice to him trying to calm him down. oh well

Doh!

That's just not smart: punch a police officer, get tazed. Follow this by getting suspended from the team. I think most all of us have been hammered before, maybe even been in a bar fight or two. Fighting the police officer was the really dumb part. If they had just left, we wouldn't be talking about this.

i know i just mean theres the trickle down effect so everyones got all the info/etc before a final call was made on a suspension. the posting deleting was before they purged the threads, someone created 1 thread, then it was deleted, someone made another, etc etc. he's such a fucking nazi, he's like 10x worse than greg. later when i went back there was the one thread explaining the rest would be deleted, looks like they just wanted to be "the guy" reporting it first.

so much for tryin to help you...I'll give you 7 because one of these guys plays basketball.

Here's a roundup of some of the recent legal problems for the Gators:

1- Guard Ronnie Wilson was charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor for an April incident involving a gun in a parking lot near campus. Wilson was suspended indefinitely.

2- Safety Dorian Munroe and the aforementioned James have each faced felony charges within the past three weeks. Munroe was charged with theft for removing a University Police Department boot from his car and putting it in his trunk.

3- Cornerback Jacques Rickerson was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. The case was later resolved without legal punishment.

4- Safety John Curtis faces misdemeanor charges for a probation violation.

5- Linebacker Dustin Doe was charged with misdemeanor affray (I have no idea what that means, but I think it's like disturbing the peace). The charges against Doe were later dropped.

6- Safety Jamar Hornsby had a complaint filed against him after he "allegedly" threw a man onto the hood of a car in a Gainesville parking lot.

7 and 8- Brandon James and reserve basketball guard Brandon Powell were arrested by Gainesville police during a reverse sting. Neither athlete has been charged. Powell arranged a meeting with the informant by telephone. Powell and James then met the informant and purchased .8 grams of marijuana for $20.

The problem with all these legal issues is that it isn't the first time Urban Meyer's boys have run a bit wild; here's a list of problems from 2006:

- Wide receiver Kenneth Tookes discharged a gun into an occupied apartment while three other current and former Gator players were with him.

- The above mentioned John Curtis was charged with possession of an alcoholic beverage by a minor and sentenced to five days of community service, which he failed to do. A warrant was later issued for his arrest and not executed until four months later (conveniently after spring practice).

- Receiver Louis Murphy was charged with marijuana possession.

- Starting defensive tackle Marcus Thomas was kicked off the team last season after he failed three (THREE?!?!) drug tests.

wilson, james, and munroe SINCE JAN. wilson is off the team, not suspended. james never had weed, was just with powell who has been charged. james still served suspension, is paying his own way until he earns a scholly back. and munroe, took a boot off his car took it to pay a fine at UPD, showed up and they charged him for removing the boot:roll:. doe was never arrested, just questioned, and hornsby wasnt arrested. that anti-uf, rumor site doesnt exactly present the truth.

the obvious ones from last year are well, from last year, you mentioned since jan. (but thomas was never arrested, and tookes was later cleared)

Werd. Bama has quickly jumped to the top of my most hated teams list. I would actually pull for UF in a game against Bama.

Also, there are dumbass players at every school. Some get caught, some don't. If you're dumb enough to hit a cop, you should be suspended.
