this was posted on another forum.... i'd like to see Atty Jeff's resoponce....


That was about 20mins from work. Those officers were being investigated for abuse of there power. The passenger told the district attorney the driver was stopping when the officer jumped on the hood and opened fire. Never did hear anymore of it.

Unless they had a gun pointed at the officers those cops are screwed.

I still think the cops life was in danger though since the suspect was going to take off with the cop on the hood.

So why would he be in trouble for using deadly force if he thought his life was in danger?

From what I saw it looked as if he jumped on the car and then started to shoot before the car went anywhere, at which point when the victim saw him start to shoot and then he took off. This is def one of those gray area situations.

3 seperate deliberate attempts on the officer with his vehicle, then a fourth on the second cruiser. Car started moving forward after instructed "don't move, don't move..."
The reason for the excessive force investigation is clear. White cop, black perp.

Deadly force was authorized. EOS

I never make up my mind thats just the way I am. I did however make up my mind on what motor I am getting though so there is a start.

umm, care to clarify. Do you mean TPD should shoot more suspects, or what? I am unsure the meaning of that statement. I am not trying to start shit or anything, I just didn't understand the statement.

After another collision, the car stopped again, and an officer attempted to arrest Bennett. When Bennett tried to hit the officer with the car, the officer ended up on the car's hood and fired twice, hitting Bennett at least once.

up i counted....5 when the officer first shot at the car and 7 shots when the officer was on the hood of the car..... they need to get their facts straight...
