Agreed. No more videos of donuts and burnouts in the same old place. Either track footage... or more variety. Maybe throwing rice cakes at ricers?

Sounds the track day at gainesville will be good for that. Get some footage on the way there and then 5 hours of racin'.
I still have a ton of unused footage, but i do think we need some more in car footage and track footage.

It'd be cool if my truck was in the video up at the track, but you might have to cut it in the middle and splice on the end... it'll take a LONG time = ).

So Nov. 8th is the track day? Ill see what I can do. I dont know what format I need the video in. We just use a digital camera and hook it up through a USB port and import.

actually, I believe you use a IE1394 port, or firewire, as it is commonly called...
I only know this since I gave you the wire :)
firewire allows 400Mbits/s (50 MBYTES/s)
for DV_AVI quality extraction from digital sources.
USB is merely 12Mbits/s (1.5 MBYTES/s) on a good day and you lose so much quality with compression from the source to make it work, not cool....
so to dumb this down, always use firewire...
If anyone has any VHS or 8mm tape video, they wanted mpeg'd. I got the equipment to do it. Just let me know, and I can put it in a format that the pos mac can read.

Bo is the ultimate optimist. His pushrods resemble reeds blowing in the breeze and he's ready to make video number 3. I think I'll be the first to start the new "Be like a Bo" campaign. Never let things bother you and always be happy. :D

I have less power than ever before at the moment but even with just the minor bolt-ons that I have, the best I could ever get was a 2.01. I wanna break into the 1.xx's!!!

Ok by now its probably not funny at all
And Bo, my friend's Uncle owns a shop down in Gainesville and he is trying to find slicks for me, a guy with a 93 Cobra, and a dude with a real fast SS (from what I hear). I'll see if he can get another pair, but i doubt it. I'll try tho.

mines a MiniDV cam and converts to avi, mpeg, quicktime, real vid, etc. just didnt know which one to copy to a cd. what would the pos mac accept? it uses firewire or USB depending on what its transfering(dig pics or video)
avi is pretty standard, yet large. but if transfer via CD, size isn't a big issue. quicktime/realvid suck.
