I'm back in Florida over here at Hurlburt. I got quite the welcome when we got out of the shuttle and started to doing push-ups in our dress blues in the parking lot of the TACP school house.

Basic was hard and a joke at the same time. It was stressfull as hell, I'm surprised my hair didn't turn gray, but as far as passing the tests and rolling the damn t-shirts it was a joke. PT was actually pretty tough because they put all of us going into TACP, SERE, CCT, PJ, etc... into the same flight so they could be a lot harder on us than the rest of those jackasses.

Not much to say right now, I see I've missed 6,000 something posts, haha. So what have I missed? Who won the last UFC and how did Cro Cop do? Has Bo OD'd on anti-depressents yet? Has Tom got a new air conditioner?

Tactical Air Control Party, or as we like to call it, "The Party."

Long explanation short, think Tyresse' character in Transformers as far as controlling close air support from the ground when hes not shooting a big gun... minus the dramatics

Don't bulshit, you're all about the dramatics.

Welcome back, kid.

Damn right I am.

"Bring the Rain" is always a proper thing to say on a radio, and AC-130's totally fly at night.

HAHA hey man, welcome back. Glad you did well and didn't get kicked out.

Welcome home man. Saw your Dad at the Circle K the other day. Didn't talk, but it looked to me like he might be wearing a T-Shirt with your unit on it, It didn't sound like MC or Navy anyways.

I'll be he's proud of hell of you and telling everyone he talks to about your accomplishments.

Stick with it man and keep up the good work. I'm proud of you too.

Mark.

Thanks guys, lots of fun to be able to come check out the boards again. Ben you're still a fag, and I'm still better than you will ever hope to be. The Instructors woke us up with flashbang grenades today and introduced us to their idea of motivational pt. I call it hazing but hey, what do I know.

Take the PT test tomorrow to see who gets to officialy start training. Truth be told I'm worried about it, I know I can pass the test itself but there is only room for the top 20 or so candidates, and its based entirely on your pt statistics, so heart and desire and all that crap can't get you in just yet (which was going to be how I made it through anyway), if I don't get it in it's either sit around and sweep and pt until December and try again or get reclassified, probably into security forces, so lets all just hope I make it in.

They like to make us get changed into our dress blues in 2 minutes so they can call us down for inspection that we all fail (you can't set up a dress uniform in 2 minutes properly, to include centering the nametag and ribbons and tieing the tie and all that shit, because they wont let us keep it all on ready to go), so as punishment they make us go put BDU's on and hose us down while we do fluttle kicks and shit like that. 2 people have already quit and we haven't actually started anything yet.

Don't quit, it's all mind games. If you show that you REALLY want to be there and keep motivated it might be the deciding factor on a tie score or close call on the top 20 PT scores.

I made it in to the flight. We lost another 3 people today when we went and picked up our telephone pole, so now we have to march around carrying this freakin thing during duty hours (not in Basic Coy :taunt: )

Anyway I didn't mean to turn this into my diary or anything, just fun to share all the shit they have us doing.

Goddamn its cold in PT gear.
