Thanks again to everyone that helped:
T- Let my shizzle sit in the corner of his garage for 5 months
Greg and Tom- Both gave up an entire weekend to help
Mark- Let us use his air tools all weekend
Bryan and Jess- Got said air tools to Tony's
Tony- Let my car sit at his house while we did the job
Ryan- Inspiration to just get the fuggin' thing done with already
Springs came in last night, but only after I found a UPS sticker on my door and went and chased the guy down at the Depot. Installed them, figured out the steering arm (forgot to remove the bolt so it wouldn't go all the way on- ). Bolted everything up and lowered her down.
Holy cow. Torque is much-improved and right there down low. It's hard to keep the tires stuck in second. It quickly revs to the moon now with much less backpressure, and the tranny shifts much more easily now for the same reason. Without the cats, it's running rich and pops a bit like Bryan's car does. I'll probably get a tune next to get the A/F right and to tell the computer that I've deleted the IMRCs, EGR, and cats.
The other cool thing I got done is that the new springs and '03 Cobra Bilstein struts have rid me of the 4x4 look up front. Now I've got this nice little pimp-Mikey-style rake on. ;) . The IRS swap should even things out nicely.
The volume is perfect now- very loud but not harsh. The Blowmaster drone is gone. I have some hearing damage from playing drums for years, and before I really couldn't hear the radio (at reasonable levels) or other people talking while driving because of the drone of the Flows, but now I can hear everything at cruise and really don't want to hear anything else but the car under acceleration :D .
BBK longtubes, offroad H, 3-chamber flowmasters, dumps- I'm ready for a car show rev-fest
