Tebow is only as good as the other team's defense sucks. Georgia annihilated him.

Tebow didn't even hardly run in that game because of his shoulder, and UF had two starting offensive linemen out. And it was actually a good game, far from an annihilation.
As far as last nights game goes though, i agree that we just beat a bad team.

It's pretty simple. FUCK THE GATORS !

Tebow should win the Heisman, he stands out like no other. This coming from a gator hater. He has 40 something TD's, 20 something of which are rushing, if he doesn't win it will be b/c he's a sophomore, but that is a stupid reason.
I hate that Gaytors with a passion, but nobody can deny that Tebow is real good.

He has outstanding stats why??? Because he's a ball-hog. Granted he doesn't call the plays but when he has more yards/TDs/ATTEMPTS than the RB's then of course he's going to have the stats.
His throwing game can't compare to a team like Hawaii who only throws and his running can't compare with McFadden from Arkansas (a team that only runs). So when you're the ball-hog of the team and a QB, then of course you're going to have big stats.
Is he really the BEST player in college football which is what the Heisman is all about? No he is not. Let's be honest, his throwing stats are avg at best, he can't throw a spiral to save his life and all his big passing games are against pathetic teams (FAU etc...) w/ 90% of his yards coming YAC which is a reflection of 1. his awesome wide-outs and 2. the shitty teams he is playin. His running stats are good I'll grant him that but as a runner he can't compare with McFadden type runners and the MAJORITY of his 20 something TD's are 2 yarders full-back style.
If the hesiman was only about stats then why doesn't Hawaii's or Texas Tech's qb win it every year because those teams avg 400 yds+ per game.
He is good but the BEST ...no way. Not to mention he has no future as a QB at the next level if he doesn't learn how to throw.
The only reason he'll probably win is because this year all the teams suck and there aren't many Heisman caliber players. He wouldn't even be on the ballot w/ Carson Palmer, Leinart, Weinke, Ricky W, Eddie George, etc... type players.

He can throw pretty damn good too, he's completing almost 70% of his passes. If he was a baseball player he'd be superfuckingnatural :)
I think he deserves it, he's put these numbers up while playing the best of the best in the SEC.

Most likely true.
I was at the game. I waited for him to come wallking down the sidelines slapping the stupid ass gater fans hands, when he got to me I told him to "Stop Wearing Jorts". He was not happy with that and one of Gainesville's finest threatened to cuff me. So much for free speech in Hogtown.

You sir are a moron! Tebow's passer rating is second in the country at 177.8 and has only six interceptions to 29 TDs. And if I'm not mistaken, one of the hardest places to score a TD is within the 5 yard line, so I guess those 2 yarders aren't so meaningless after all. Tebow has some of the best stats ever put up by a QB in NCAA history, and if anyone doesn't think he is the best player in college football they are kidding themselves. The only reason Tebow isn't a shoe in for heisman is because of Florida's three losses. Two of which were by 4 or less points, and all of which are due to the inexperienced defense, which is one of the youngest in the nation. Of course there is that one "blowout" everyone keeps referring to which is when Tebow was on pain shots due to a shoulder injury, so I guess you're right he does suck pretty bad. Oh, and BTW I'm also sure he won't make it in the NFL either cause Vince Young sure sucks pretty bad and he is so much of a better passer than Tebow.

“If” he was in so much pain and couldn’t perform to his best, then he should have set out and let the second string QB stand in. He also should have stepped down in the FSU game and let the second string QB come in, the game was clearly out of hand by the 3rd quarter, the defense had FSU shut down. He wouldn’t have gotten hurt. Either “Nut Up or Shut Up”.

WTF rating are you looking at? http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/players/136113
Like I said before, forget stats! If the NFL gave a shit about stats then why was Weinke/T Smith/etc.. drafted so low. Hell Jason White and Chris Leak weren't even drafted but they sure had stats.
Vince Young can actually throw a spiral lol. And he also doesn't go shoulder first into linebackers like an idiot. So in his first year Tebow hurt his shoulder and was on pain shots for four games and now has a broken hand. You think he's going to go another 2 years at this rate? Just think, if college did that to him in one year imagine what the NFL and Urlacher/Thomas/Taylor etc.. would do to him haha. I never said he wasn't good I just think he's not a Heisman caliber person and am not as impressed as others just because his stats are padded on an offense centered around him.

I don't understand why espn and yahoo have different passer ratings...

The coach should have taken him out, yes your right, a competitive player wouldn't have, but when your injured, common sense should take over or a smart coach should be in charge, not the player.

exactly, blame the coach. you can't take it out on a player when he wants to stay in and play no matter what. This is football, not girly baseball or basketball. Ronnie Lott got his finger amputated at halftime just so he could come back and play in the second half. This is why i love football and hockey, you've got to be a tough fucker to play either sport.

That was another pretty worthles 5 yd TD run. It's a shame how his rushing stats are inflated so much because he only scores from less than 5 yds out. I mean this guy really sucks. It's not like he's done anything that anyone else hasn't done before.
