So..for about the last week we have been having problems with our bathroom toilet flushing properly. I called the company that owns the apartments and requested maintence be sent. They came one time a few days ago plunged the toilet, .....didnt accomplish anything. Said they would be back.

Now the reason I am pissed.....I work midnights. So I told them to come in the afternoon. No calls. Just a few minutes ago, I was taking a nap on the living room couch. I hear a noise....think its the cats....NOPE! I get up to go look, and theres a fucking maintence guy in the bathroom!!!!! HE LET HISSELF IN!!!!, my anger rises. I decided...to sit and wait. He had the door slightly open, I saw him he didnt see me. I sat on the couch waiting for him to finish and walk out...with the lights out, and the blinds down. 20 minutes go by, he walks out. I say "what the fuck are you doing in my house! without me letting you in" He bout shit his pants. I startled him I think. Said a few other choice words, and he left.

I just called the company back and spoke with the secretary. She stated, "well since I called, they assumed I knew he was comming!!!"

So tomorrow Im marching my ass up there and talking with the owner!! DAMN THIS!

Sorry so long, had to rant.:hissy:

damn.... honestly i would have held him at gunpoint till the cops showed up..... ya i'd definately talk to the management/owners about this security issue..... i'd demand a background check and a history of previous employers to check on this maintenance guy..... that's just me personally.... i don't like anyone i don't know being able to snoop in mt shit when i'm not there.... i wouldn't like to find out later that the guy was a child molestor or an x-con.....

Well..............I totally understand BUT read your contract, I bet it says that in case of emergency and to prevent property damage the owner has the right to enter the house. It can be an emergency to prevent water damage, I'm not saying they were right in the way they handled it, but IF you would of pulled a gun you may be in jail calling 224-jeff, I own rental property and when I was younger I rented apts too, so I know where you are coming from BUT dont have a heart attack or get yourself arrested, just let them know there was a better way to fix it. just my .02 oh wait thats my $20.00

Cant really take any avasive actions.(sp) I work with DOC, and they love firing people over ridiculous charges.

As for the contract, It does say something to that effect. Still pisses me off though. Live and learn I guess...Also known as Dead Bolt, and security chain.

exactly, lol... even when renting it is still the owners place. I usually tell mine I want to be there, and they will call me, otherwise they would do the same.
