they look really good
hey if pontiac usa spent a little bit more time on developing the gto it could be huge but they took the easy way out and imported a australian car . the fan base for the gto is huge i was waiting for one till i saw a pic it is a grand prix ofcourse it has a ls1 but there is no excitement on the out side

it is on the front cover of the new Car and Driver and i am very disappointed with the body styling. When you think GTO, you think of a badass looking car, this new GTO is not the case. Stock they run a 14.0, but with minor mods they will scream.
Another thing, they come with only 1 exhaust outlet.....WTF?

only option is a 6 speed which is 695
really isnt a bad deal for all you get. they have an amazing interior, great performance, etc.
styling could be better, but its not bad, some new wheels would really wake it up. give it a year for some body modifications to come out and i think youll be suprised (just look at the holdens)
also doesnt look like youll have intake height restrictions like on the fbody

It may only come out on one side of the car but the GTO has a true dual exhaust system. You can see a picture of it on the Pontiac web site. But I agree the thing is effin ugly. Performance should be pretty good but hell I can pretty good performance out of a Honda Accord with enough money. This thing reminds me of an Accord by the way. Why don't they just quit fucking around an bring back the F-body. Fucking Ford has been kicking Chevy's ass in the performance arena since the F-body's went away, unless you count the Vette, which is a good deal when you compare it to a Ferrari or Viper, but fuck 50k is still 50k.

if it was just a regular car w/o the GTO name, it would be a really nice looking car, but the name "GTO" has some background to it, which is why i hate the styling.
PS. What the hell does "percent 90" mean?? :D

i just think its odd to compare modern cars to old muscle cars so closely, standards and laws are different and those shape cars more and more today than back then. to me its only a name, but i can see why those who know the background on the older GTO's would hate a "modern" restyling of the car.
lol...typo, fixed it. :flip2:

The first car I ever rode in(on the way home from the hospital) was a GTO. My dad has owned over 10 of them, 8 of which were 65's with 389's. Some have 3 dueces and some had a 4 barrell but no matter what, they were fast!!! I think that GM has the heart of the GTO in the same place that it has always been, under the hood. The first time around, the GTO was an option on the Lemans, a family car, not a sports car. In essence, it makes sence that it looks the way it does. I dont mind the new styling of the GTO only because of what it has under the hood, power.
