Just curious as to who is doing the racing around here. When, where and how fast. Trying to see where I need to show up to have some fun. And meet some new people.

For some odd reason... my slips say N/T

Kinda odd to have a newbie here asking for times without divulging what car he drives and times. An early style viper maybe?

Wow. you guys are unbelieveable. I guess if you've been on here a while your supposed to talk down to the new guys who are trying to get a feel for the forum.

Guess b/c I'm new I must be too slow or just too stupid to be on here talking to other muscle car guys. I'll leave all you guys alone. I know you have much better things to do than try and say something nice.

People are just trying to get to know ya, might come off the wrong way on the board. But they are just feeling you out, as you are trying to feel them out.

No one called you slow, or stupid. They are just curious what u drive and run, since you are asking what we run. Like you are trying to say you are faster then us and no need to come out or something.

Anyway, nice to have you on the boards. Don't take everyone too serious; some people just come off wrong on the internet. Sarcasm is hard to tell on the net.

Well I drive a 93 LT1 Automatic Trans Am.. it is UGLY.. no interior.. no power steering.. no A/C.. just a UGLY POS LT1 (We all know LT1's are SLOW.)

It has run 13's.. it ran a 12.2 with no motor work of any type.. it ran a 10.5 with a blower and 355.. last time out it ran a 13.5!!!

so.. uh.. can't really tell ya what it will run at this very second :)

Lets see,

In 1999, my 88 had a 351/S-trim in it. Went a best of 11.38@116 melting a piston. Had a total of maybe 5 runs. Thats what you get for running it on stock fuel lines and rails.

After that I bought a J-trim for it. Yet was going to move the 351/J into a coupe. While I was gathering parts. My ex bitch was tired of having a "slow" 89. So I bought some parts for it and put my S-trim on it. I ended up using my TFS heads for my 351 on the 89 and with 14 psi it dyno'd 511 rwhp and ran 11.2@124 with a 1.88 60'. I had a shit converter in it, since she drove it daily (2000 stall). Come out like a slug and take off.

Since the divorce, I took my 302/S outta the 89. Giving her a stock 302 for the 89. I am in the middle of putting the 302/S into my 88. The car is "running" n/a right now. Cause when I took the S-trim off the 89, I found a chip'd impeller. Vortech is rebuildin it. The 88 has a real converter (3700 stall) plus a transbrake. So no more bullshit 1.8x 60's. It will be in the 1.5x range again and should easliy run 10.5x. Did I mention, I have a real fuel system on the 88 and will make more power then it did in the 89 :).

Then theres the 02 toy. Its a almost stock 2002 Gt, on street tires it runs 13.21@103 with a 1.87 60'. Thats only with a X-pipe, mufflers, chip, pulleys and cold air. Its fast enough for about 70% of the street racers around here :)

Cliff Notes: 02 = play toy for 70% of the street races. 88 = supercharged 302 that will be in the 10s no sweat.

Calm down buddy, I was just kidding. My car has been broken for a while now so I was just throwing a little inside humor your way. I wasnt saying anything mean, I just wanted to know your setup. We are just a group of people having fun, sorry if I insulted you.

Adrian, its 50 now

I'm a freshman biochem major at FSU. I lived in Ft. Walton Beach for the past 12 years (near destin, not so near pensacola... boutn 2 1/2 hours from here).

I'll tell you what I got... i've got nothing to hide... might be a little ashamed, but notthing to hide. I have a 95 Chevy 1500, Light quasar blue metallic, 350 TBI. I have hooker supercomp headers, true dual exhaust with flows, Caprice 9C1 police injectors (like a '91 caprice or so... 62 lbs) ported heads with 2.02's and 1.60's and a mild cam. Oh and did I mention the HORRID DROP OFF OF POWER ABOVE 3800RPM!!! Just in case someone has missed the fact that my already slow truck is running like POOP!! = )

In her current condition, looks like 15's arent gonna happen this trip. Low 16's with a 10.5+ 1/8th mile are likely. I'm just gonna pratice the launch, and maybe do a little diagnosis on my computer (got a diagnostic cable and my mom's laptop... OH YEAH!) = )
