did they start BADRAP?

actually, yes, we did.

We both looked and looked and couldnt find anything up here, so we did the CCR thing in hopes of gaining interest. Wish we could have foudn you guys sooner and saved some effort.

I am Robert, I did all of the background stuff for BADRAP, and served as an Officer in the club. Marty (97Chameleonta) was the other founder and he also served as a leader and officer for a long time. We had a third guy named Chris who helped out at first too with getting us started.

We have moved up here for work, and BADRAP unfortunately has gone down the crapper. It's just a group of guys fighting and arguing all the time now. It's a shame too, because they are a really great bunch of guys.

I miss them and the saturday nights down there, but maybe soon I can start enjoying it all up here now!

Cool, welcome to Tally. Ya, we haven't tried to pimp out the club/forums in a while. I think the only thing around town about us right now, is the TMCA sticker on some peoples cars.

Thanks for the welcome.. Been up here over 6 months now, and seriously getting anxious to see SOMETHING resembling horsepower up here.

Will keep watching to see where you all will be hanging out this weekend (other than G'Ville) and We'll come out and meet you guys.

My racer is my 93 TA..

I have a 4 banger too! =)

My wife has a 94 Ford Probe SE with a 5 speed.. gotta figure out SOMETHING I can do to that thing.. it's pathetic..

my daily driver is an 02 Grand Am (notice a Pontiac Theme here?) it's a V6 and is actually a fairly nice car, I was impressed.

Work!

I worked for WorldCom down in Tampa. If you followed the news, you know how bad they got. I made it through 13 rounds of layoffs and when my staff went from ~30 down to just me I figured i'd take my skills elsewhere.

Got a job here at the DOE. So far, so good!

Thanks for the compliment on the site.

I work in IT at DFS (old DOI). Sounds like we have our share of computer geeks on here.

I worked for marty at Intermedia (Worldcom now).. so when he came to Tally, I followed. So I also work for DOE.

Marty is my boss once again. He is the Manager over the servers here, and I am the SMS Administrator as well as doing BMC Patrol stuff. It's interesting going from Private sector to Public like this, had to learn a lot of about how budgets work in the government.. weird stuff. And a LOT on incompetence that you have to deal with. But it's been ok so far.

yeah, we are both geeks, but you wouldnt know it to look at us, we look more like motorheads and mechanics than senior network and Server geeks.

Our old Boss at Intermedia is also our Bureau Chief here so we know what is expected of us. So far so good, and I love Tallahassee! So much calmer and more peaceful than Tampa.

It's also cool knowing i can buy my military service towards my retirement! nice to know something good will come for those years of my life!

I registered for the site but never received an email confirmation. Is there a problem or am I more of a dumbass than I suspected ? Be gentle. :T:

Scratch that. The email went straight to my Bulk mailbox. I guess Yahoo thought it was spam....
