Timing Light

I replaced my fuel filter, to no avail. Truck is still crap on the top end. The last thing that it could possibly be that isn't serious, and expensive, is the timing. Perhaps SOMEhow it is causing my tremendous and sudden loss of power at 3800 rpm. Does ayone have a timing light i can borrow? I'd really like to try it at least before I go to the track tomorrow. It would be a HUGE help.

Well, I'll see some of y'all tonight, I'll be up at Schlotzky's. Maybe someone can take a ride with me so i can show someone else what it is doing. I'll bring the laptop and do some more data aquisition, maybe someone will have a clue whats goin' on!

i'll be on my way to g-ville by 5, maybe. but if i happen to leave late, how would i get over there?

i just really want to check it real quick, dont think I'll be doing any adjusting just yet.

that works! The guy who is letting us stay at his trailer (he owns a couple and rents them out during race weekends) used to own a machine shop, and Ben said he'd have one so I can do a little last minute tuning tonight before I hit the track.
And T... you WILL NOT be the slowest person there = ). You forget I drive a 4200lb truck that comes with a 200hp 350 from the factory! I'm just gonna try and get her running right, if not I'll at least get to practice launches and do some more in depth diagnostic. BTW... anyone going with an OBDI Chevy? Let me know and I can get the program to hook the computer up to your car.

I could hook it up to Bo's for example... but really, would it help?

I also have a timing light (just bought a new one) that I always bring with me. I'll have it tomorrow too.
