lol... I know what you mean though. been looking at cars, and in tally at least, they are overpriced, and then the dealer is putting 2500-6000 mark up on normal cars! wtf. I was in orlando this weekend, and they had the same car I was looking at for 8k less... crazy, obviously they are not selling any so their plan is to make more on 1 sale then try to sell 4 at normal prices....lol...

That price tag can jump off of a water tower with its mouth open and land directly on my nuts. Ridiculous at best.

LMAO! Nice pic... just wait a year, you never want to buy the "first year" of a car/truck anyway.
Not sure if I agree with the "unrefined PIG" comment though. It may be a little heavy but it does get some good reviews.

$80k for a 2 door 300C....no fucking way!

^This might as well be a Corolla or Cavalier interior. Shit, if you're going to make a car with the kind of passion that the Challenger carries you can't drop it onto an existing platform. It deserves it's own....you don't see new Mustang's on a Taurus platform with terrible Taurus interior!!
Fuck, at the least don't put that dumb fucking 300C steering wheel in it!!!

I couldn't agree more travis. When i saw what the production car would look like i thought wow that looks pretty good, then i saw pics of the interior and couldn't believe what i was looking at. Same shitty interior that i see in every Chrysler, i guess they couldn't step it up for this car.

LOL
They're not the only ones. I saw a 20K markup on the S2000 when they first came out. 10K+ on '03 Cobras when they came out, etc and on down the line. The new ZR1 is retarded for markup. Dealers getting whatever they can. While bullshit, why not get what you can? If you had something that was very valuable and people wanted it bad enough to out-bid each other, why not take the most money?

With gas prices the way they are I bet the markup doesn't last long - muscle cars aren't exactly flying off of the lots. I've been pricing low mileage Z06's, and they are very quickly coming down. One of them is soon going to find itself sitting in my garage.

Doesn't that require that you clean the garage first?:heather20

The silver one people have been spotting and posting on was at the Ernie Sims Car Show yesterday. You guys know how Paulie is about MOPAR...trust me, definately not in silver :(
Reality verses promotion on the dash and instruments is heart breaking. Which I think is one of the points in the original post.
Greenway and Orlando Dodge have solid allocations and will order one with no "availability fee"...I would wait a few months though...apparently late flight two and all of flight three (October and January deliveries) are supposed to have the promised dash/instrument clusters. That is according to Eric Vickerman at the SRT engineering shop at Dodge.
One other thing, the "taming down" or neutering of the drive train that occured between the 06 and 07 model year SRT-8's is still in place on the Challenger and even worse. if you are even dreaming of dropping a penny on this car, you'll need the original ECU/TCU combo from a 2006 Charger or 300C...at least then Tony can get in there and make it run as designed.
