My Grandprix GT (black) ran 15.977@86 mph. Im sure those who were watching saw me make quite a few passes. It was my first time ever going/racing at a drag strip. Although it was hot as hell out there I felt for it being my first time and my car being a lightly modded v6 I did alright. I tried to talk to most of the TMCA members but it was my first time meeting most of them. Anyhow it was fun as hell we should have some vids up soon!

Sounds good, let us know when the vids are up.
After talking to and trying to help you out, I was rooting for you from the stands. Just need to find that magic launch number and you should be str8. Just practice. Your car isnt nearly as loud and obnoxious as most of ours so you should be able to practice that launch quite a bit on the street. Yesterday wasnt exactly ideal conditions as far as alt, and temp went. Go in the winter and you should should be a bit happier.
Check the Private events forums for times....we tend to not advertise times/racing on public boards.

Thanks to know! Your T/A is bad ass. As far as modding my GT, im just going to wait till I can get a major power adder (turbo, supercharger). But I need to get a way better launch my last run I dropped from a .650 reaction time to a .450. Thanks for the tips, because that last launch was from an idle and I got a 16.0 flat

you reaction time has nothing to do with your E/T unless you are racing somebody for money. didn't know if you knew that or not. :D

I didn't know that, I was just comparing the differences on my slips. My launch isn't very great

My Grandprix GT (black) ran 15.977@86 mph., that was against me, on an average run But that is a fast pontiac

Well, dad ended up with a best of 14.01 @ 99 in the Lightning. That crappy humidity and heat didn't help the intercooler much at all.

my heart was pounding at that first run ( i lost my track virginity to you! ) haha Well I got some compliments on my car which was much appreciated, everyone was saying that it looks sharp. But its a 4dr daily driver so what can you expect! Your honda is pretty quick, you and the white talon (blown engine) were some good runs. My run vs Andy (FloridaFive0) was decent too, he ran a 15.3 and I got a 16.0 flat with him.

Yah, I had a great weekend at the track, had it been a little dryer, i probably would done betta, but i was surprised i usually have trouble getting into 2nd :joystick: And i only missed once this weekend, but it is a very nice Grandprix, and 4 doors are always nice, my first suggestion, go the gm dealer, get a supercharger on (You can keep ur warranty, if u have one, that way i believe) Then go from there, my other advice, keep it clean and quiet, I hate how loud my car is.
Sorry I didn't get to say hi and introduce myself. I was busy trying to get a 12 sec slip. Didn't happen tho, between the heat and track surface going away.
Outta 14 runs, I got my best pass on the 2nd run. Got a 13.37@102 with a 1.95 60'. My best ETs from G-ville are in my sig.

I dont understand it!!!! I watched you all day and on ur launch it looks as if u hit it for a second and then let off and then hit it again. From the stands it looks like ur 60' should be about 3s
It's makes since b/c if he didn't do that than he would be probably spinning his tires and that takes even more time.

haha
My worse 60's of the day, was my first pass which bog'd to a 2.30 and then later in the day against a red hatchback civic. When my chip was loose and shut the car off in first, it got power again then at the top of 3rd it came loose again. That 60' was a 2.30 also and then the car diein at the 1000' coasting threw the 1/4 @ 14.7 :(
I had 4 1.9x 60's on Sat, the rest were 2.0x. Which sucks, but thats what happens when the track prep goes away.

Im planning on gettin the L67( supercharged 3800 v6)+HD tranny, but money is an issue then installing it is an issue. Maybe we could have a local TMCA mod day on my car lol! My car skills aren't too peachy. I have no warranty on my car and it has 58,000 miles on it so we will see.
