Hi, my name is Marty and i'm an alco---uhhh, oops :-o , heh, wrong forum

Like the title says, i'm from the Tampa area (Valrico) and moved up here in April to work for the DOE. Having been one of the founders of BADRAP down there, I thought it was a good idea to get something going up here. Started up the other site because I didn't know this place existed. Until recently, the only car action I had seen in the area was the Capitol City Cruizers...

My toy is a '97 Trans Am 6-speed with bolt-ons. The only internal mod being roller rockers. As it sits now, the best is a 12.5@110 with a 1.8 60', which I ran down in Bradenton. Shortly, the current motor is coming out to make way for my new project.

Just before moving up here I sold my '99 30th Anniversary Trans Am. Kinda wishing I would have hung on to it being one of 1500, but, whatcha' gonna do.

Wife's car is a 4-door '01 GTP with a few mods, it runs in the high 13's with 2.0X short times.

Last, but not least, is my family hauler. It's a '03 GMC Envoy XL with the 5.3L V8 (mini LS1).

BTW, nice meeting some of you Friday night.

I'd be glad to help. I can set lash blindfolded. Let me know when you want to give it a shot and i'm there, work permitting of course.

Thanks, Id take the help whenever you would be willing to give it. I am going to work on it all day but there isnt much I can do before the lash has to be set. I might just go ahead and give it one more shot, its not rocket science or anything.

Alright, I recently started the hell of an install of a cc305, 1.6 RR's, valvesprings, new timing gear, the whole nine yards in my 93. Well, on first crank up, it started but died out. Turns our after many sacrificed pushrods that I was getting coil bind. Got new valvesprings and buttoned everything up and she ran, not great but alright but I hadnt got a tune yet so I just babied her around until it bent another pushrod and somehow screwed up a rocker arm. Got all new parts and getting ready to put it all back together for the 5th time or so.

I am working on it at my house that is located off of Hartsfield, close to High road. I dunno how close that is for you but if you could stop by, that would be awesome. Just let me know and I can give you directions in a PM(dont want everyone to know where I keep my bent pushrods:lol: ) Thanks a lot.
