Skipped any NA runs which made things a lil simpler (no changing spark plugs, ect) and just went straight to the nitrous runs.

Here's the first run:

The timeslip:

Here's the second run (sorry it was so blurry :()

Diddnt get a pic of the timeslip of it. But the 1/8th was 6.2 and the 60' was 1.32 ( I think, dad will chime in I'm sure).

Anyway, now that the S-10 has done it, now we can take the ranger and try!

150 hp Went with a new Edelbrock plate setup. Bigger solenoids made the difference, as his 10.01 run was run with ole NOS powershot solenoids(still 150 hp).

Nice runs - congratulations....man that thing looks like it's dicey off the line. Once it hits the 100 foot looks like it settles down.

Actually, he said at the end of the track he had to lift a bit because it felt like it was starting to get squirly. On both runs he said that. Maybe aerdynamics are coming into play and the rear end being light and going 120+ mpg is makin it walk a lil bit.

I dunno.

Looked like it was going straight at the end to me.

Oh, the reason why there was no 3rd run was the passenger side window popped out at the end of the track. He said it sounded like a firecracker going off.

I'm glad it happened. Tracy can't load the video's, so I did. All props goes to him and dad

How about some tubs and dropping the thing about 4" that should help...looks like it has a 4 link already. My brother runs an S-10 in Pennsylvania - he's only run as fast as 10.22 though but he tubbed his and dropped it down. Says it feels much less squirelly through the traps...

I will never drive anything into the 9's. Next time at the track though, I'm gonna take the Ranger down on a 100 shot, which should net a high 10. I think that'll be quick enough for me. I'll leave the 9's for Tracy and dad :secret:

Might want to mention that it actually is tubbed a few inches. I have no idea how many, but enough to bring the slicks under the body (mostly)

I wish I could've come! Looks like FUN!!!

Its never been on the scales but i am thinking it would be around 2800 lbs. its all steel but the hood. We have a friend with a pinto with fiberglass front end and doors and it weighs 2200 lbs. so no way the s-10 is that light. We will weigh it one day.
