View Full Version : How about another try at a cruise/dyno day

I called Aaron up at South Georgia Corvette and he said that he would be more than willing to give us some dyno time. His rate for 3 or more cars is 2 runs, back to back, with A/F(off-road piped cars only) for $60. He said that he could get a couple of us in per hour so we could cruise up there in the morning and hang out all day while he dyno's our cars and then cruise home, maybe grab some food when we get back in town. What I need to know is how many would be willing to go dyno and how many would be willing to just cruise and hang out. Also, I was thinking that Saturday would be a good neutral day for everyone to go so we just need to figure out a day so I can call Aaron back and set up a date and time. December 13th looks to be a good weekend and who knows, it might be cold for some killer numbers. Let me know how the date sounds and if you wanna dyno or just cruise.

I'll go if my truck is running alright by then. Getting it dynotuned over Thanksgiving and then some new valve springs soon after that.
If we do it after Christmas I am DEFINITELY down for it. I'll maybe have some new heads, and definitely some 1.6 roller rockers.

I'd like to meet some of you guys, so I'd drive down to dyno and cruise if you all were making the drive to the place.

This is going to be awesome. I called Aaron and told him about how good the turnout is looking and he sounded excited. The only bad thing is that we have to "play it by ear" on the date because since it is almost a month away and he has some high dollar customers, he doesnt want to lose out on any money by scheduling us instead of a couple ZR-1's or something. It is kinda frustrating but very understandable from his standpoint. It looks like we are going to have a killer time.
Also, I have never been up there but from the pictures I have seen, it looks like there is a grassy area that we can eat on sometime during the day. Is a picinic something you guys would like to do as well or would you rather cruise back into town and grab some grub here? Thanks guys

honestly Bo, i think we'd be better off having the dyno day AFTER the holidays.
why? Because the weekend you planned is when most people will be heading back to their respective home towns. Also, some people (like myself 8) ) are going to have stuff done to their cars over the winter/holiday break.
I think the turnout would be even better if it was held in January. The weather will still be cold too.

i'd dyno mine but it won't be ready. i can run on the dyno myself. put down a couple footpower. 165 lbs (don't know how much torque will come with that though). i wear a size 13 so maybe that will help some. :joystick:
I'm down for the dyno, and Matt has a point. If no one cares, January would be better for me too, buy I'm in either way.

I agree with you but the turnout is already pushing the line of too many already. He said that he would only be able to do about 2 cars an hours and I dont want to work the man from sun up to sun down. We already have 8 cars that want to dyno for sure and there are 5 more that are a maybe. I thin we should have this one since its already planned kinda and the we can always have another dyno day after the winter holidays.

Last time I dynoed I went by myself. Same price. If the weather's good he'll normally do it on any Saturday morning with minimal notice. I called a week before.
