Back in September while in Madison at the Motorplex my Brute started knocking on it with around 40 hours of run time. Took it to the Cycle shop since it was under warranty. Took them 1 week to look at it, 2 weeks to say it wasn't the fuel injection, another week to say it was a spun rod bearing. Then 1 week to get Kawi to say they would fix it and all the parts 2 weeks more. Which they then tell me they service guy that took it apart was out for elbow surgery. And the other guy didn't want to assemble it since the other guy took it apart. But he would if he had too. I let it go for 2 weeks more and called today.

Phone Call:
Jeff Service Manager "The other guy is still out, so the 2nd guy is working on putting the engine together"
me "Great, so I can get it by Friday then."
Jeff "No, sir it will take longer then a week."
me "What? to put a engine together???"
Jeff "Yup."
me "Wait a sec, I can assemble a v8 in less then a day..."
Jeff "Yeah, but I'm sure you have experience with that"
me "Yes"
Jeff "Well, he doesn't have experience doing that."
wtf?????????

Great, so I said screw it and traded it for another 08 that was still new in the crate. Cost me $2100 but now I have a new one, not a rebuilt one. Plus this one has 0 hours and 0 miles on it. The green one had 11 hours on it when I picked it up. I didn't notice the hours till I had purchased it was loading it into the truck. Which they claim is just the time of moving it in and out of the building.

Must be nice......

Its everything I can do to pay extra on my bike, Best Buy, and Visa...much less fund a new motor for the car, a motorhome, a tow rig, etc. Maybe one day.

Time is all it takes. It's not like I was buying all this stuff when I was 20.

Man that color is just plain sick on those BF750's. I love it man and that sounds like CYCLE SHOP is a horrible place to do business

Sweet.

As far a the CS goes, we got a SeaDoo from them (about 5 yrs ago) and the throttle broke on it. It took them 6 weeks to fix it. I vowed never to take something there again unless absolutly needed.

But are there any better places in town yet?

That story sounds just like the story a guy that worked for us got when his new Honda cracked a head with less than a 1000 miles on it. Took him 3+mos. to get that POS back. Same deal where the guy that took it apart was out sick and blah blah blah. One delay was caused by the guy breaking the starter when he was putting the engine back in.

How the hell does a place like that stay in business?

That's really the only problem I've had with them, is the service side. Brandon and Carlos have been great to work with in sales.

I know Carlos and he's pretty cool, he works at the Monroe location now i think. But my mum works in parts at the Cycle shop and she tries to help out and give good deals. Ask Mark.

If you go to the Plex, let me know. As soon as college football season is over with I'll probably be heading over there damn near every weekend.

We are going to the Plex this weekend, It's a feature weekend with a new 150x50 real mud pit. Should be fun!

Yeah I was ready to go to Mission Mud but the game is Sat night and I'm a football freak. After 11/29 it's on though. There's a dude in my hood going though, he has a Can-Am with 8" lift and 31 Gorillas. Sumbitch is crazy.
