I've been reading that with the returnless fuel system on 99+ Mustangs, a typical fuel pump won't work. Apparently they burn out real quick and you need to get a variable voltage, or vane, type pump. I've heard on another board that Walbro makes 255 lph vane one but wasn't able to get a part number. Has anyone else seen this pump or have a part number for it.
Like you've read... the Walbro pumps aren't designed to work with the returnless setup. You have several options... a Chicane-style pump, the 03 Cobra setup, or a KB Boost-A-Pump. KB includes the BAP in their blower kits for the 2V, I think it'd be more than adequate for your use, and it runs around $200 I believe. Pete at Fordchip sells the Chicane pumps, I think they are around $289 or so.

i had the walbro 255 in my car for about a year with no problems...i had nitrous and the blower with it...the only real difference i saw was, the fuel pressure was a little jumpy at idle and cruise, but it never went lean. once the 03 cobra fuel pump went in however, the fuel pressure leveled out and smoothed out.
