well, i'm about to head to the game. if you see a white guy with a red fsu hat and a drop em wear shirt on rush on the field and tackle rix...its me. maybe he'll pull another good game out of his ass. that'd be nice. or maybe he'll get injured trying to get his hand past that stick he's got stuck up there. who knows. anyways, go noles!!

Miami won last minute.. Florida won last second.. what will FSU do? 14-7 NC State right now and RIX looks like RIX..

hmm wonder if it's too late to put some cash on NC State?

all i can say is what a game. this was the first game that i've been able to go to this year. it was awesome. definately the best game to go to. my throat hurts so bad. i'm definately not going to be able to talk tomorrow.

now for the game. rix still sucks. our running carried us through the game. waaaay too many overthrown balls. especially when you have 1st and goal. you can't throw 2 passes 5 feet over the receiver's head. you also cant throw the ball straight to the biggest freakin guy on the field (the nc state noseguard). and don't even get me started on how he tried to tackle him. we're definately gonna miss thorpe. thats gonna hurt us. about jeff bowden...i guess i can't say much about him because rix audibled at least have the freakin plays.

on defense, zone coverage...doesn't work. every big gain they got was off zone. even a lot of small gains was zone. 3rd and 4 and they play a deep zone. doesn't work.

all in all we lucked out and won. we got screwed on one of their touchdowns. but we also got lucky after punting the ball on 4th and 1 with 2 minutes left (why we did that still puzzles me). it was a fun game to go to. rix just needs to step up and do a hell of a lot better.

that is all

Rix does not suck. Out of all the passes he had 1 int. How many passes were DROPPED? too many. Damn receivers can't hold on to the throws that are right to them!

Then again, how many td passes did Rix throw that were spot on? like 3. And they WERE spot on.

I'm tired of the Rix haters.....so many of you just are too stupid to figure out he doesn't call the plays, and when he throws to someone triple covered, its the playcall, and not Rix, he's just throwing the route. He had some pretty sloppy o-line protection too................Rivers had a great o-line to protect him.

While I agree with u some, this is not totally true.

Yes, Jeff calls the plays. But in a play, there is usally 2-3 recievers. Not just one. The play is normally setup to 1 person, but there is always 1-2 others that "can" get the ball thrown to them too. Rix's main problem is he follows the "play". He doesn't check off on the other 2 players. He just trys to make the play as it was called. Course, he still doesn't ever have enough time back there. Our offense line was pretty green this year and didn't protect as good as they could of.

As quarterback you are either going to be the hero or get all the blame for losing. Thats how it works. I only see glimpses of him being a leader, not the entire game.

rix over threw waay too many balls. 1st and goal and you throw 2 balls 5 feet high and its not his fault??? i agree on the offensive line though. i also agree with tony. rix focuses on one player, and thats it. you run a shotgun pattern with 4 receivers for a reason.

about calling plays. jeff bowden calls the plays. of course he does. but what about all of the audibles? who calls those? rix makes a lot of bad decisions. it was funny to hear everybody clap when he would scramble and finally throw the ball away instead of taking the sack.

Yes but do you remember the first play in OT1? The pass down to the 5 yard line on the side???? It was...yup you guessed it....an audible :)

His problem is he only looks at one receiver! How many times is there a playaction where he fakes it and then turns and fires into coverage w/o even looking at the three other WRs?

Anyone else notice that it may be true that the o-line gives him no time, but did you notice his fakes to the RB's absolutely blow. It isnt fooling ANYONE.

Good to see the running game get back on track. What also disturbs me is the fact that Rivers had 422yds passing. Obviously they threw almost every play and we still couldnt stop them. You guys are correct in that we suck at playing zone. They just get too open

It is that awful coaching that is Rix's problem.. I mean if the coaches didnt tell him to lead the reciever by 5 yards, or to throw it 15 feet over their heads he would complete more. If those coaches would stop telling him to throw the ball to the other team all the time.. or how they send in those "Trick plays".. you know.. the ones where Rix is supposed to do one thing.. but then he is supposed to call his own play at the very last second.. thats cool stuff!

You are right, it is those damn coaches! Rix for the heisman!!

screw Chris Rix.. you guys can still have Brock Berlin.. we dont need him anymore. You have to suck REALLY bad to have people consider replacing you with Brock Berlin! LOL Any quarterbacl that is so bad that even Spurrier isnt willing to put you in to be crushed is pretty damn bad!

Everyone is a freakin expert... I'm glad there is no game next week, I'm sick of "rix sucks", "jeff sucks". You can't put the blame all on one person. You blame rix for sucking but some how the other team scored over 40 points. He may not be that good but we are somehow pulling wins out of our asses. We've only lost 2 games

2 games now.. 3 games after Florida comes to town..

sad truth of the matter is this.. CURRENTLY in the state of FLorida, The gators are the best team at this moment. FSU and Miami both started strong, and FLorida started badly.. as the year progressed.. Miami and FSU have both slowly declined, and the Gators have roared back. I wouldnt want Miami to play Florida right now, it would be a loss.

Agreed! UF beat Arkansas, LSU, and Georgia three games in a row....all highly ranked opponents.

I would say all 3 are on a level playing ground right now. As always, the FSU vs UF will be close. It doesn't seem to ever mater who is doin what that year. The game is always tough.
