I have been with Nextel for the last 6 years but they are getting up there in price... I was thinking of switching to Verison... does any have any good or bad feedback on either one?

Nextel can die for all I care. Even with their priority one service for gov usage, it sucked. Even in non-peak times, it sucked. Full signal in major cities, it sucked. No matter when, no matter where, no matter what phone all I ever got was "user busy in data A1" "svc restricted" or some other bullshit message. Even if I knew both of those weren't true and the selected user was right next to me, it never worked. Their customer service was absolutely horrible. Their pricing was awful for service received. If it wasn't for their Direct Connect being picked up by so many businesses and being critical, they would've died off long ago.

That said, I'd pick ANY OTHER COMPANY over Nextel. If Disney had a cell phone company and their phones were all shaped like mickey's head, I'd go with that over a damn nextel.

A nextel rep was trying to demonstrate one of their phones for me and could not get a signal in the mall, in the mean time I recieved 3 calls with no problems. I told him I think I will have to pass.

talk to nextel about it i told them i was going elsewhere, i got 2100 minutes free weekend no long distant charges for 110.00 a month with 3 phones then added sprint broad band for my laptop my total with taxes for all 4 is less than 175.00 a month and the signals are getting better every day

Verizon is the best in Tally, hands down.

Verizon no doubt especially since they own Alltel now. Verizon will probably shut the other competitors down, then they will be a monopoly so the government will step in and take over, then we'll be back to climbing phone poles to make calls like on Green Acres.

Out of those 2, Verison. AT&T has always been good to me though.

I love my verizon. I have had it for the last 5 years, works perfect until I get out in the middle of nowhere, then it just goes in and out. Now you can pick your favorite 5 etc. also.
Cool stuff

verizons good def better than sprint/nextel for damn sure. I have ATT and it works well too so something to check out and compare. ATT has better phone selection in my opinion. Every carrier is going to have places where they are stronger and weaker in service than another thats the comparison with ATT and verizon. Both great carriers just depends on where u use your phn the most
