We placed 2nd this past weekend at the Grand Am race in Homestead. My co-driver, Tom Long, had a great battle with one of the US's top road racers- Randy Pobst. Here's a 5 minute HD clip of them going back & forth.

Dude - that was awesome...you guys definately had the braking advantage, you're hanging with first class drivers. Probst is tough...looks like he just had a touch more HP. 2nd place in a grand-am race is kicking to the curb some awesome competition...congratulations...

Is Tom Long related to Denny Long that ran an IMSA Corvette back in the 60's/70's with Greenwood. We raced against Denny in our Corvette at a couple HSR events?

That was an awsome race. Tom could have punted that guy at anytime, big props to Tom for being a class act racer. From what I heard Derek did a hell of a job also.

I heard about that through my teacher Mr Walker. Hes on a Grand Am team. He knows you and Tom and I guess Tom drove for his team not long ago? I cant remember the team.

Thanks guys. We appreciate the kind words. I don't think Tom is related to Denny. Tom's Dad, Glenn, used to run Showroom Stock in SCCA. They both drove well and it was a blast to watch. Would have loved to win but just being on the podium was pretty nice.
