For those not there...undercover pig in a tan Impala comes up and asks if we are all of age and no one says a word. He looks at Ryan and asks to see his ID.

Not really. I think they call them safety checkpoints now, like they're looking for terrorists. That way they can use that as an excuse to get you over and smell your breath and whatnot to try and get probable cause. I'm not real sure on the legality of DUI checkpoints and stopping people for no reason.

Checkpoints have to (most of the time) follow systematic sampling procedures to be considered legal. Meaning, every 'x' vehicle is pulled over... every one, every other one, every third, etc.

so basically right now you could take it to court and probably have a good chance at getting it thrown out since there isn't a clear ruling on it
