Went to the stadium today for the event. They brought 5 new c-class cars and set up a small auto-x course. Sign up, drive, and have a blast is what thay said. I started off in the c320. Its a 215 hp v-6. Of course, it handled much better than the snake, but that was to be expected. Brakig was really good, too. Needed more umph, though. Second time around was in a c230 kompressor. It sucked on the course. being such a tight course, torque was needed. I coulnd't keep the prms up enough to get the blower running strong. Plus, its a 4 banger, blown, rated at 196hp.

Anyway, even though they were automatics, it was a blast to thrash them. They had professional drivers in the passengers seat, and mine were cool. They said to push it as hard as I wanted, so I did. I only hit 2 cones on the last corner the second time, as I got sloppy. Very cool!!

I went there and did that too. All i can say is man, your right about the lack of umph on those cars, but the instructors were cool and that electronice whatever the hell stuff for handling is badass. Wish i had somehting like that to stop from swinging and sliding all over the place.

Onw of the test drivers used to race a 95 Cobra R i an open track series. He wsa the guy, Ed, in the c320. He told me that since I had road course experience before, to floor is down the straightaway, and try to swing the rear-end around into that right hander. With the stability control, it was almost impossible to get it to kick out. But, it did feel kinda wierd when the computer took away the gas pedal for a second and touched the brakes for me.
