Well, I finsih up my cam install and the thing wont run without stumbling with the O2's plugged in. I unplug them and it runs like a bat outta hell, just really, REALLY rich. I order my new tune and install it only to have a low RPM stumble, just like the stock tune did but this time its with or without the O2's plugged in or not. Now I am back to running the car on the stock tune with the O2's unplugged and smelling like gas everywhere that I go. Any ideas? :wtfgun:

Oh, its a PCMforless tune. Also, when I say stock tune, its a Hypertech Thermomaster chip(just turns the fans on quicker and stuff like that).

bad o2's
They are brand new with all of 200 miles on the as of now. Most of which, they were unplugged. Do you think with the O2's not working because they werent plugged that there could be a buildup of crud on them which is making them not work with the new tune.
If that is the case, why wouldnt the new tune work with the O2's unplugged?

in many cases ive read about, the stumble is alotta times related to bad o2's, or opti, but i didnt think you'd have opti probs. didnt know they were new, but are you sure they didnt get soaked with something?(oil, tranny fluid, etc) i remember ryan had spilled something on his and they were ruined.
as for the new tune.... do you have to "reset" the pcm when you add/remove the new tune? maybe you forgot?

Oh yeah, someone told me to remind you to undo the battery before you put the chip in Bo.

The battery has been unhooked eveytime I have messed with the PCM---Ive heard that you can fry the PCM if you dont unhook the battery:shrug: The battery being unhooked is the same thing is reseting the PCM isnt it? As for the O2's, I did spill coolant all over the old O2's but thats the main reason I bought new ones. Im stumped.

If anything has touched the O2 sensor tips then there is a good likelyhood they are screwed up. Even something as simple as oil from your skin can wreak havoc.
Do the heated O2 upgrade if your gonna go through the trouble of replacing them. JMHO and 2¢.

Leaving the O2s in but unplugged is a BIG mistake. This kills the O2s rather quickly. Not saying thats your problem but you might want to check into that.

Would not take long running really rich to smoke up o2 sensors.

Alright, I understand that the O2's are probably shot but why would the car stumble with the new tune and the O2's unplugged. Ill but new O2's and put them in tomorrow. Is there any way to clean the sensor and save me a lil money or is the whole thing fukked?

PCMforLess has been really hit or miss with cam tuning from what I've heard from friends who have used them. Most of them have gone to madz28.com for their tuning, Ion does much better work for less then pcmforless. :headbang:

I have talked to lots of people and from what they say, PCMforless is great although I am not seeing it at the moment. I just need the whole holiday week to end so I can get in touch with Alvin and get everything taken care of. Im sure he will make it right.

Hook the fucker up to a computer and find out what it's doing. I know someone who has a cable, software, computer and basic knowledge. 8)
