A friend of mine who lives in Shreveport went back to his home town (somewhere in Puerto Rico) a while back and snapped this shot of a car that belongs to a friend of his. I've seen a few references to it on the web but not many.

First - identify the motor

Second - identify the car (I smudged out most of the bodywork under the hood to not make it that easy)

For those that have seen it before give others a chance. :D There are a few people on here that will get the motor right away. I don't know the power ratings but can e-mail him and ask.

I don't know much about Fords, but it kinda looks like a mustang intake to me.

Looks like a v6 3.8

OR a 5.0 style SBF with the intake from one that goes the other way.

You sir would be correct, a 20B.

I can't believe I missed the alternator pulley, dammit. The car it's in ... let's just say there is at least one on this forum. Here's the full pic since it will be nearly impossible to guess the car from that pic.

This guy also has a B2600 truck with some twin turbo rotary setup in it.

Wow. A new edge with the s197 front. Got any pics from the side or a front on angle? It doesn't look like those lines flow too well together.

I'll ask Jose if he has any more pics of it, but I think you're right. Too much mixing of angular and curvy panels. But they do odd things in PR and will put a rotary in pretty much anything.

Edit: Just got a reply from Jose - it's pushing ~900hp at the crank in street trim. I need to try and find videos of this thing.

I've seen that body kit installed on a yellow new edge mustang, and it looked flawless in installation (no large gaps/seams) - but it still didn't look right. It looks like that tubo is larger than the engine/flying triangle casing.

LMAO - exactly.

Here's one of Jose's drag cars. This is the one that was on a Pinks All Out special I believe. No idea what it runs. He does have some nice rides if anyone wants to check 'em out. www.joserotary.com (http://www.joserotary.com)

Back when I lived in Shreveport we used to all go to the Texas Motorplex and he had a Mazda B3 (I think) with some rotary in it and a big Dominator sitting up top. He was running in the 10s with it and was leaving the line at 12k and shifting at 14k. Open header and it was loud as hell.
