I'm not talking about being mad because a few key calls went the wrong way, and I'm not talking about the fight after the game, as any team would defend their mid-field logo. I'm talking about UF's Athletic Director Jeremy Foley.
Background: Obviously one team has a home team advantage, so to even the odds, the visiting team brings referees from their conference. Sounds fair enough.
Immediately following the game he is talking about how when he renews the contract to play FSU he will have to make changes concerning having officials from the visiting team's conference. What bastard!
Here's my take on that. He's just panzy that ran out of vagisil so is going to blame the ENTIRE game on the ref's. Maybe they blew a few calls but I hate to say it jackass.....MISSED CALLS ARE PART OF THE GAME!!! Everyone has games when the refs seem to completely fuck them over, but you deal with it. How many times have we almost be killed by the damn refs but never say a damn thing about it other than to ourselves? Because he lost he has to announce he's going to look into changing the provisions of the usual contract. That is poor form for 2 reasons. One it just makes him look like a crybaby and 2nd it publicly denounces the referees.
In sports it is an unwritten rule that no matter how bad it gets, you dont go on tv or in the paper and blame it on the refs. Remember last year when OSU stole it from Miami? No where did you hear Coker or Miami publicly and blatantly criticize the officials.
They try their best, have to make split second decisions and they dont have instant replay. You also must remember it is impossible for them to see every little thing bc look at their job. They have to see exactly what happens inside a pile of a million guys that are each the size of 3 normal people. Its impossible to see everything accurately. If they want to be mad then thats fine and they prolly have a right to be, but keep it to yourself.
It all started with Spurrier crying over the late hit game when his star not only lost but got the living shit beat out of him. Once again, its part of the game. You never heard a word out of Spurrier or the Gators when they win, only when they lose.
While Zook isnt as affective as Spurrier I will say he is much classier than Spurrier ever was!
That is all
