As you guys know, i have a prelude and i have always wanted to race a stock Gt and see how i size up to it. I dont want to race one of the new ones. The model before that. 97 or 98 i think. I think i make about the same HP to the wheels as a stock one. I dunno i just have always wanted to race one. Anybody here with a stock one?

Its not very often when you find a stock GT from any year, especially those years since they werent exactly rockets from the factory. Most people around here mod their cars too. I cant think of any stock GT's in the club off the top of my head but I know a guy with an untuned Camaro Z28 that is up for just about anything:p

hahaha...yeah completely stock right. And i am pretty sure that even a stock z would kill me. Maybe from a roll i could "hang" with a stock Z.

any small chance, however minute it is, you had against an ls1 would come from a stop. hoping they just spin the fuck outta the tires
from a roll, id bet a stock ls1 would put over two carlengths per second on you

yeah i guess so. My torque is just way too low compared to an ls1. But if i won just from sheer luck that he spun off the line it wouldnt make me happy. Maybe if i ran slicks, HAHAA. Prolly still beat me.

well say i did run into a stock gt. What is ya'lls predicted outcome? I ran a 9.7 in the 1/8th mile.
A bone stock 96-98 GT will likely run a mid to high 14 second 1/4. I don't know much about your car but I don't see you winning unless the GT driver can't drive.

Ive seen convertibles run 9.9's to 10.1 in the 1/8th at Holt. It would be really close with a coupe. I thought a prelude would run better than 9.7 in the 1/8th. There is a new Tib back home runnin' 9.5 with just exhaust intake and crank pulley as far as I know.

theres a Supra back home you need to race... he needs his ass kicked some more. Always talkin shit and my friend Ben with the 4 cyl accord is faster than he is = ).
Claims he ran a 9.3 at Holt, but he got waxed by the Tib (BAD!) when the Tib was runnin' 9.7.

oh shit i can't even race right now, i have to fix my bent valve. my complete valvetrain is getting redone with crower stuff. But i will be up for the race when it is fixed. I mean it's not going to hurt it to race it a couple times on the street, but i just dont want to take it to a track and be scared to fuck somethign up and be a long way away from home.

my LS1 is mostly stock and my last couple of races i've had a bad problem getting my shitty kumho's to stick--and i'm always up for a street race. i'd like to see what a prelude would do--i was actually looking to buy a prelude before i found my car. i'm really glad i got a v8.
