Broken Strut

My car is lowered on eibach springs. I hit a pot hole and something made a retarded loud bang.

Now everytime i hit a bump my strut likes to hit the top of my engine compartment. i cant figure out WTF is wrong with my front left. I replaced the strut, still does it. I cant stop this banging around coming from this stupid strut. Ive got to be missing something

Check to see if it has a rubber stopper on the top the name escape me right now. If the other side has it and the bad side doesnt that could be it.

bushing gone? did you install a new one on the top of it? you might not have if you didnt know it was there to begin with.

Bump stop. And if you hit the pothole like you said you did, you most likely destroyed it. And you probably jacked up the strut mount also, put the car back up in the air, take off that wheel, and start shaking things around to try and narrow it down.

my buddy just bent 2 24" rims in a pothole tuesday. He got a police report, took pictures, let ryan/alloy wheel repair tell him it isnt fixable, called the city and filed a claim, adjuster came today, waiting on a check to replace it all.

I'll take it all apart again and just check it out. I've already broken the whole thing down completely three times. I'll just keep eyeballin' it until I figure it out
