Well- long story short- my motors fucked- i apologize for the language but today is not a good day... 2003 mach 1- any ideas as to the most cost effective way to get a new motor- tx for the help in advance

doh, what happened? Is the motor junk? If the heads are ok, We have a dohc used shortblock at the shop. It's actually a complete engine but your heads are better.

well the knocking is coming from the bottom of the block so the heads may be fine- it's at the transmission shop because we thought that was the issue- apparently there's only a bad spring and some old pads wrong with the tranny- even the clutch is in great shape and it's a 03.... so we are assuming the knocking is a rod

Damn that sucks man. I would imagine the top end would be fine. Start sourcing out a assembled block or better yet build it!

Take it to JAWS and they will take care of you. If I had a stang, the mustang man is the only guy Id take it to. I will make some calls and see if I can source some parts if you need. What all are you looking for ?

if i wanted more power i would honestly go all motor-i've had boost before i would want something different this time around
