What the fuck. I'm trying to put on a x-pipe (trubendz) and the fucker won't go on clean. I'm about a quarter inch from getting both the bolts on the driver's side header through the slots but can't seem to get it. Fuck. Any advice would be sweet. For now it's beer time...I'll tackle this shit with a buzz. later.

On one of my buddies Foxes we had to "stretch/bend" where the x met with the headers, it was a two person job but it wasnt that bad. Good luck with it bro.

bo can you describe the stretch/bend more? did you try prying the X pipe like a wishbone or did you bend the flanges? Thanks.

The wishbone technique was what it took to get the thing to fit. We bolted one side up and then pryed the hell out of the other side to get it lined up. While it was off of the car, we both grabbed a side and pulled, just like a wishbone and that helped a lot.

Be careful of how it pulls on the collectors. Don't want it creating too much pressure pulling back to its original shape. Could cause a leak somewhere or something. A buddy of mine that used to live up here had a midpipe that he forced on and it ended up cracking one of his headers from too much stress. If it bent and stayed bent so it fit right it should be cool, if you just bent it so it would go on, I'd watch out.

The sound is cool, almost F-body sounding in rasp. It doesn't drone like the prochamber and is still quiet until WOT then it screams bloody murder. The great part is the power gain up top. In the top of second my tires let loose :-o Bit suprising. Throttle response is better too. Time for the track and dyno to see what she'll do.

Appreciate the warning, but no worries we bent the pipe off the car and it stayed bent. 8)

remove the studs and replace them with bolts.
