Got called for jury duty selection...is this shit really as bad as everyone makes it out to be?

Not really, I've been called twice for it. 1st time was a domestic violence case. I just said "No, a guy should never hit a girl" and I wasn't picked.

The 2nd time I got selected and it wasn't that bad,

I always just say i believe cops always lie to make their case.
Amazingly i am always told i am not fit for jury service.
So why do they keep calling me back.

I am on a grand jury. It is very interesting, I enjoy going every month.

I got a notice a few times here but always called the night before and they said I wasn't needed. I do know if you're not registered to vote you're not eligible for jury duty (won't get called) - at least I think I read that somewhere.

The last time I went in was up in Anchorage for a capital murder trial. They (the jury) was going to be sequestered for about 4 months - thank God I didn't get picked for that one. I'm sure the USAF wouldn't have liked that too much.

But yeah, make sure you call the night before and see if you need to show up. The number should be on the notice somewhere.

I've been called one time and was picked. It was a drug trafficking case that lasted a couple of days, but I thought it was pretty interesting and didn't mind. My wife just got notice as well, she reports on the 18th.

knock on wood i haven't ever been calld for jury duty. i have been called as a witness for the state a few times....
