What should I know about it going in? Any common problems I should look out for?

So far as I can tell it doesn't leak anything, including power steering fluid which I was expecting since I've never seen one of this era that didn't leak.

I plan to drive this car for a while and eventually swap everything out of the red car into it since it's got a straight body.

Lemme know 'bout it fellas!

hmmm, just look closely for signs of being in a wreck. Otherwise game on.

look for wrinkles in the fender aprons. since its a 4 banger dont worry about the torque boxes being ripped, other than that the are pretty much good to go.

Here it is, I am glad I saved this webpage. I'm sure it'll help you out:

http://www.mustang50magazine.com/techarticles/m5lp_0206_fox_mustang_v8_swap/index.html

It is a real thorough writeup on doing the swap and has many compatibility charts for some major components.
