Hey I have been reading these boards for a couple of months now and its finally hit me I havent signed up yet. Well basics are: I am a freshman at FSU, from Jacksonville, and enjoy the rumble of V8's although I dont own one. I drive a 1997 Eclipse GS-T with mods. I am not rice I dont do a thing to my car cosmetically and I really dont like the import scene all that much, DSM's were made in Normal Illinois. I am looking forward to taking my car to the track in Gainesville and seeing what she can do. I like these boards alot and I am not here to bash on V8's or hype up imports.

Welcome to the board, glad your not a ricer :)

Fast imports are ok with me, I only have probs with the riced out imports that can't even break into the 16s in the 1/4. Yet they think they can out run everyone.

Nice car. 2nd Gen DSM's are smooth. I wouldn't mind having a 2G GSX as a daily driver someday. Hope to see you out at a meet sometime.

I am from near san marco, place called miramar. I talked on the local dsm forum there, there was a pretty nice following of DSM's in Jacksonville. I havent seen too many around here. My car isnt slow and I wouldnt call it fast yet, but right now I am stuck with a 4runner(had to haul some stuff) until I go back to Jax for x-mas break.

I have been highly recomended the ACT 2600 clutch for the first gen AWD's. And while your replacing your clutch you should maybe think about a lightened flywheel. ACT also has some really good flywheels. Slowboy racing has some really good specials on the ACT clutchs and flywheels. I have bought many things from them and also highly recomend them.

Nice ride! Gotta love DSMs. I personally am looking for a 1g AWD if you happen to know of one for sale ;) I bet that fucker moves pretty quick. And Id recommend the ACT 2100 or 2600 as well louis.
