I talked to my sister today and she said i could have anything i wanted off her car. I've got 2 days before the insurance people come to pick it up, so im leaving tonight. im getting the mac control arms, rear, bassani x, mac catback, leather seats, tranny, computer, chip, fuel pump, wiring harnesses, gauge cluster, and possibly the engine(she says it still runs). If i have time i might get more stuff. Its like an early christmas!!!

nice, have fun 8)
WOW- what a sweet deal! That's awesome. Hope you get everything you need. One question, though:
Why does the insurance company pay out when half of the car is gone? If I was the insurance company, I'd want to recoup as much from the wreck as possible (i.e. get the most from the wreck when selling it for scrap). How is it that they don't give a shit what's left of it? Just curious.

I just found out that i have to replace what i take with stock parts. So i wont get the engine or tranny, but i can get the exhaust and rear because i can replace the exhaust with the stock stuff off her car. And im replacing the rear with my 7.5. im also going to change out our speedometers and maybe seats. I knew it was too good to be true. I'm might be able to do a buy back and then i could get the engine and tranny.
Bummer that you have to put back replacements, but hey, it's still a deal.
I see that you're looking to get the motor. Did you decided against the 5.4 conversion, or are you looking to use some of the 4.6 gear to set up the 5.4?

as of about an hour ago i now have a 2002 GT 8.8 axle, traction lock, 3.73 gears, mac upper & lower control arms, and some type of aftermarket shocks. we also pulled her x pipe and catback but my sister wants to sell it. Im not sure how much all that cost but i got a deal, it was worth driving all night for. Really couldnt get to the engine like i was hoping so i could get some parts for the 5.4. still i came out really good
