im pretty sure you can run a limited one for free. and a full one for 20 bucks

Since you have the VIN#, just go to Ebay, list the Car on Ebay as if you are selling it. When you get to the "List It" Page there will be a "View Listing" Link, click on that and you can see the complete Car Fax for FREE. When you are done looking at it just X out of Ebay. You will not be listing the Car or be charged. I have done it several times now and it works.
