well there are some 436 LS1 engines pumping out 550-600+rwhp, as for most cubes straight from the factory i believe in the early 70s, TAs had a 455 option but only pumped out less then 300 hp but upwards of 400 torque

The latest motor was the LS1, 98-02 has about 300-320 Rwhp stock and is good for low 13s or so...Can be modified to go 10s NA with a change of heads/cam/rear

well i dont think 10s but 11s are possible they already come with a good cam and aluminum heads my bud has a 98 with all the bolt ons and heads i think he has the z06 cam and 410 gears and he is running 11.7s

yes i believe the 70-73 transam had 455s but all hp ratings back then were gross hp not the real hp it really only had 200 hp but 510 fpt, were the 400 were the better performers with 275 net hp and 400 fpt.

Those solid rollers probably dont have stock bottom ends but there are a few H/C stock bottom cars running 10s. The bolt-on record is like ~11.30s, gutted but nonetheless. Never said it was easy, but can be done. Then again, you can make anything fast.

There are 3 cars in GA that have gone 10s with just h/c (stock bottom end), there were at least 4 that i saw at the last shootout that went 10s...Its getting to be pretty easy with todays h/c more and more hp is coming out of them...

no 10 second ls1's with h/c/rear?????

if ryan dropped about .6 off his 60 to 1.5-6's, with a stout rear i think 10's are possible, maybe thats just me though

CB isnt too far off i would imagine either
