Ok there are only 2 problems with the car. One thing there is about 2 to 3 inches of play in the steering wheel. I dun know if its supposed to be like this or what was just wonderin if ther is a way to fix that or not. Second the fron right headlight motors gears are stripped. Anyone got an extra one sittin around or know of anyplace where i can find one. Anyadvice for both of these qould be appreciated thanks.

The play in the steering wheel can probably be fixed with an alignment. As for the headlight gear, I dunno. Look up Brent94Z on www.camaroZ28.com. I think he has a fix for the gears, dont know all of the details though. Good luck with it. I cant wait to take a look at it when I get back in town after x-mas.

Hows she feel;)

flip the headlight gear over

its a small plastic gear, but the motor only uses half of it

you can flip it and itll work

if the other side strips, ill post where you can get brass gears that wont strip

The play is your rag joint on your steering shaft. IT wears, and your car could probably use a new one. Replace it or get a rag joint eliminator. Replace your fuel filter just because you should. Any special reason you have salad shooters on a TA?

I was wondering that too. Did they swap out the 17in rims that were on the car?

He bought the car like that so I highly doubt he knows what happened to the 17's that came stock.

Always nice when it says " Camaro " on the center hubcap! Anyhow that car is loud as hell for a supposedly stock exhaust!

Its probably not stock then;)

Look at the muffler and it should be stamped with a GM logo, otherwise, its got exhaust on it.

Does the heater still blow? Maybe the past owner had a problem with the heater core and didnt replace it and just bypassed it. We did that to my buddies Mercedes cause the core cost over $300.

I didn't get stuck in the mud it was a one lane dirt road and i pulled to the side a bit to let a car go by. How the hell was i supposed to know that there was a whole just big enough to fit my right front into. After that happened i tried gettin out but just dug deaper into the ground and ended up the whole right side was bottomed out. i wasn't driving crazy or bad ass or anything just being courteous. And its a hitch but its under hte car under hte bumper u can't even see it unless u look under te car. Not like its a tow ball or anything.

just placed my order. Thank you stock rag joint. and thank you tire kingdom for not telling me I needed one the 1st of 4 times I went there...bastards. You'd think they would be able to identify the problem, when you keep going back and telling them that after a few days of driving the steering wheel is no longer straight. I will gladly forfiet my aliagnment warranty and pay someone else to allow them to not touch my car again. I recommend never going there.

Thanks for the info guys. When I get new tires for the truck &/or cars I will be sure not to use them.
