Hey there, after purchasing my second 4th gen camaro this week,I was referred by Supradupra to check over here for camaro/firebird/and trans Am meet ups.

Anywho,I'm a student over at Lively tech for their ASE certification program,I'm one year deep. I enjoy my job, working on cars, helping others with their mods and occasional herb.

For the past 2 months I've been searching for the "right car" after losing my New beetle project (yellow with black fenders,a few may have seen it around town). I first bought a C4 corvette with a 383ci stroker and a 3 speed auto trans with a whiplash-inducing,tire shredding shift kit. All was well until it took a sweet shit on my ego when it blew up during a routine post-ti meet burnout fest.

Next,I bought myself an 82' RX-7,that broke due to an incorrect Holley carb (wtf) rebuild,so it sat becaus at this point I had spent all my savings. However someone was interested and bought it for a pretty penny.

After that...I bought a 94 camaro,5speed V6,sold it for much more than book value and then bought a better one for much less than I sold the other for,so I'm currently the proud owner of a slick black 95 camaro,v6,t-tops. I believe I have found the perfect car,I absolutely love it!

Now I can start saving again to pay for my next semester, wheew!

That is all,I look forward to posting!

Not that it wasn't an option, but after spending 80$ on gas for a round trip to gainesville,I realized 13mpg wasn't the way to go,in fact a horrible decision for a "part time job + part time student".

Thanks for the welcome guys. :)

Welcome. The Camaro was a good choice. Although, you'd be surprised how decent an LT1 can be on gas. They do pretty good on the highway. Especially, with the 6-speed attached to it.

On my last trip to Thomasville I got out of town, reset the trip computer, and set the cruise on 65-70 and let it roll. I checked when I got about two miles from there and pulled down 28.5 MPG. On the way back, 28 even. I'm running a six speed auto. I don't remember what the RPMs were but I do know that at 80 MPH I'm turning exactly 2,000 RPMs.

I get around 30mpg in both of my LT1's.

Haha this is why I prefer American cars. My sisters GS-X will turn IIRC like 3600 @ 75 in fifth gear (OD). Of course any faster and you're boosting which burns that 93 pretty quick
